A small community of artisans in Debar, Macedonia, created a motif that became a very popular style during then-Yugoslavia in the mid-late 20th century. The style of craftsmanship is called "Graviranje" and the jewellery is meticulously crafted using a special tool with different sized blade inserts to cut, shape and meld together vintage and timeless designs. We have tracked down one of the last few remaining artisans from Debar, Macedonia, still alive today to bring back a popular motif, reimagined as a cuff bangle.
